ARRIVE EARLY

While it’s normal for friends or relatives to try adding to your luggage by giving you a parcel as a gift for yourself or to help them deliver to someone else, knowing the contents of the parcel is something that can never be overemphasized. This is a written rule.
People have gotten into serious airport security and even police cases just because they had luggage that contained illegal substances or weapons or plain contrabands without their prior knowledge.
NEVER LEAVE YOUR LUGGAGE UNATTENDED:Most especially when you don’t have a lock on it, it might get missing or switched for another. Keep a hawk’s eye out for your luggage at the airport especially in public areas.
DECLARE YOUR PETS:
If you must travel with any animal, be sure to declare it at the security instead of just hiding it away in your hand luggage.
BE ALERT:
As terrorism is on a rise, not everyone at the airport is there to catch planes or pick up or drop off loved ones. Therefore, be watchful of any suspicious movements and activities and report them immediately to airport staff.
HAVE ALL DOCUMENTS:
Why wish you had remembered to bring a particular document when you can put them all in a file and go to the airport? Make sure you have all the correct boarding passes and travel documents to be presented if requested at the security checkpoints and at boarding gates.
